Dholpur : Baba Shyam’s birth anniversary is being celebrated on Tuesday on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Khatu Shyam, Nishan Yatra was taken out from Shyam Bagichi on Tuesday. The trail journey passed through the main roads of the city and ended at Shyam Mandir.
People welcomed the Nishan Yatra taken out in the morning by showering flowers at various places. During the yatra, Shyam lovers sang hymns of Baba Shyam and raised slogans. The Nishan Yatra started from Shyam Bagichi in the morning and ended at Shyam Mandir via Old Hospital Tiraha, Hardev Nagar, Jagan Tiraha, Khadanja Road. Where marks were offered to Baba Shyam. The Nishan Yatra taken out in the city was welcomed by the people everywhere.
On the occasion of Ekadashi, special decorations were done in Shyam Baba’s temple. Where the devotees offered their marks and attended the court of Baba Shyam. On this day, various religious programs are organized on the occasion of Devuthani Ekadashi, for which marriage of Tulsi and Saligram is also being organized at various places in Dholpur district.
