If you get stuck under the underpass built here during the rain, you may lose your life. Recently, two bank employees died in the underpass of Faridabad.

Underpasses get packed with water during rains

After this, the officials of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority inspected the underpasses built at IFFCO Chowk, Honda Chowk, Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk. Many flaws were revealed in their inspection. The pillars on which the tin sheds have been installed here are in a completely dilapidated state. Not only this, there is dampness in the walls at many places. During the rain, a lot of water accumulates in all these four underpasses.

Pump sets have been installed here to drain out this water, but it takes a lot of time to drain out the water. Due to the water not being drained out on time, water starts getting inside the vehicles and people face a lot of problems. Currently, the maintenance of these four underpasses is with the National Highway Authority of India. The National Highway Authority of India sent proposals several times to give these four under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, but every time the authority said that until their shortcomings are not removed, the authority will not take them under itself.

People were trapped in Medanta underpass

Let us tell you that a few days ago, similar conditions had occurred in Medanta underpass during rain. Where it took more than 7 hours to drain out the water. Many vehicles were stuck in the middle of the water. The owners of which left their vehicles in the middle of the water and went away from there. Otherwise a big accident could have happened. However, in this case, the officials of National Highway Authority of India say that mock drills were conducted at all places before the monsoon. No flaw was found anywhere. If water comes into the underpass during the rain, then there are strong arrangements to remove it.
