No direct flights from Jaipur airport to cities like Jammu and Kashmir and Madurai.

Jaipur : Winter schedule has come into effect at Jaipur Airport. There has been an increase in the number of flights. There has not been much increase in terms of air connectivity. This time in the winter schedule, two new flights have started operating for cities like Varanasi and Amritsar. At the same time, many cities of North India and South India are still like this. Where till now direct flights are not being operated from Jaipur. Actually, after the implementation of winter schedule at Jaipur Airport, both the airport administration and airlines companies are happy, but there is no special reason for happiness for the passengers. Because the number of flights from Jaipur airport has increased in the winter schedule. There is no significant difference in air connectivity. In the name of new air connectivity, new flights have been started only for two cities Varanasi and Amritsar. Due to the irregularities of SpiceJet Airlines, there remains confusion among the passengers regarding ticket booking in these flights.

No connectivity for Kashmir-Leh

There are no flights from Jaipur to any airport of Jammu and Kashmir. Indigo started flights to Jammu 8 years ago. The flight operations were stopped in just 6 months. Along with this, flights to Srinagar and Leh have never started from Jaipur. At the same time, no flights have started operating for Agra, Varanasi, Bareilly, Pantnagar. A large number of devotees from Jaipur also visit Rameshwaram. But even for Madurai, the nearest airport to Rameshwaram, not a single flight is being operated from Jaipur.

Jaipur lags behind in international connectivity

Unlike domestic air connectivity, Jaipur’s condition in international air connectivity is worse. In this matter, Jaipur airport is lagging behind even its smaller airports. Only 33 flights operate daily from Amritsar Airport in Punjab. Whereas the number of flights operated from Jaipur is 68. But in terms of international air connectivity, Amritsar Airport is far ahead of Jaipur. In such a situation, Jaipur is far behind compared to Lucknow and Ahmedabad airports.

Amritsar is comparatively behind Jaipur in tourism and population. Only 7 international flights operate from Jaipur airport. Whereas the number of international flights from Amritsar airport is 11. There are 3 flights operated from Amritsar to Kuala Lumpur alone. There are flights from Amritsar to many cities like London, Singapore, Doha. In the year 2016, Scoot Airlines started flights to Singapore from Jaipur and Amritsar. Flights from Jaipur stopped in just a year. Whereas even today flights are being operated from Amritsar to Singapore. However, only 22 domestic flights operate from Amritsar. Whereas 61 domestic flights are being operated from Jaipur.
