Jaipur News Desk: After the scam worth crores of rupees was exposed, an example of how those responsible are being saved can be seen in the power companies. The matter related to the scam of Rs 237 crore in construction of electrical sub station has reached the court. On the basis of the ‘paper’ notice of termination issued by the Discom to the contracted company, the company reached the High Court. Now Discom officials are trying to find a middle path.
Officers are afraid that the matter might reach the court due to the investigation report in which it has been revealed that those responsible gave work orders at 246 percent higher rate. To avoid this, some officers are trying to find a middle path for talks with the company. According to sources, a former MD and a former MLA are playing the role of mediator in this. Meanwhile, the management has instructed all the concerned officers not to discuss the matter with the media or other employees-officers. It is noteworthy that in two cases related to GSS construction, the contracted company R.C. Work orders worth more than Rs 237 crore were given to enterprises. The report also raised questions on the working style of the Corporate Level Purchase Committee (CLPC).
