Notice issued to Chief Secretary and DGP on Naresh Meena slapping incident, this work will have to be done in three days otherwise…

Tonk : National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has issued notice to DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahu, Tonk District Collector Soumya Jha along with SP on Samravata incident. But, in a big mistake or negligence, Preeti Jain has been written in the name of Superintendent of Police (SP). Whereas, Vikas Sangwan is the Superintendent of Police. Preeti Jain is currently on deputation in Central. Preeti Jain was Tonk SP in 2016. Notice has been issued on 4th December. Instructions were given to reply within 3 days.

Petition was filed on Samravata incident
Madan Mohan Rajor, state in-charge Rajasthan Bharatiya Kisan Union, Ramkesh Meena, state president Rajasthan Adivasi Seva Sangh, Mahendra Meena, all Adivasi Meena Advocates Association Jaipur, KC Ghumaria, state president, All India Tribal Development Council Jaipur and Govind Singh Somwat general secretary, on the Samravata incident. Scheduled Tribe Joint Institute has filed a petition.

Violence took place in Samravata village on 13 November
On November 13, the day of voting in Deoli-Uniara of Tonk district, independent candidate Naresh Meena slapped Duty Magistrate Amit Kumar Choudhary (Malpura SDM). Naresh Meena had alleged after the slapping incident that the villagers were boycotting the voting due to their demands. But, the duty magistrate forced three voters, including a female Anganwadi worker, to cast their votes. When the police went to arrest Naresh Meena after the voting was over, there was arson and violence in the village, in which a total of 9 four-wheelers and bikes including two police vehicles were burnt. There was damage to people’s homes also.
