Notice to state officials including DEO on contempt of Tonk Court

Tonk : Rajasthan High Court has issued a show cause notice for contempt to the state’s Principal Education Secretary, Director of Elementary Education, Chief District Education Officer Tonk and sought their reply in the matter related to negligence in following the court order.

The single bench of Justice NS Dhaddha has given this order while conducting the preliminary hearing on the contempt petition filed by Prabodh Ramphool Keer, who is under suspension since 2015, through Advocate Laxmikant Sharma Malpura.

It was stated in the contempt petition that the petitioner was suspended by the department in May 2015 due to a criminal case. The petitioner is under suspension for a long time. On the petition for his reinstatement, the High Court had ordered the department on 5 August 2024 to take a decision on reinstatement of the petitioner within two months, but the department has not yet complied with the court order. A contempt petition has been filed on this.

After hearing the court, the parties

State Chief Education Secretary Dr. Krishna Kunal, Elementary Education Director Sitaram Choudhary, Chief District Education Officer Meena Lasaria have been issued show cause notices for contempt and have been asked to respond.
