Now action will be taken against Congress workers who indulged in vandalism during elections

Jaipur : The meeting of the Discipline Committee started at 11:30 am on Saturday at the State Congress Headquarters located in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, which may continue till late evening. This meeting is being chaired by Udaylal Anjana. The purpose of this meeting is to take action against the leaders who indulged in sabotage in the recently held assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Many leaders and members may face action

According to information received from sources, about a dozen cases have been placed in this meeting, which will be discussed in detail today, and the final decision will be given at the end of the meeting. Members Hakeem Ali Vinod Gothwal and Shakuntala Rawat are present in this meeting. All this means that after hearing on these cases by this evening, action can be taken against leaders like PCC officials and PCC members. Because in both the elections, Congress has suffered a lot due to these leaders.

Congress took feedback after the elections

Immediately after the Lok Sabha elections, Congress took feedback from the block to the state level. In this, information was collected whether the leaders who were assigned the work during the elections completed it responsibly or not? Who was negligent or was involved in anti-party activities? After this feedback, most of the complaints of sabotage came from the block level. Explanations were also sought from the concerned officials on these. Along with this, Congress also warned of strict action against those found involved in anti-party activities.

Earlier action was taken against these leaders

The biggest uproar was on the Banswara-Dungarpur Lok Sabha seat. Congress had earlier announced its candidate from this seat, after which it filed its nomination. But, when Congress announced an alliance with BAP and asked the said candidate to withdraw his nomination, he refused to do so. After this, Congress workers got divided into two factions. Some supported the alliance candidate, while some supported the Congress candidate. Apart from this, there were many seats on which sabotage was done behind the scenes. Recently, the party expelled former minister Amin Khan and former state secretary Balendu Singh Shekhawat from the party for 6 years. At the same time, a show cause notice was issued to Dungarpur MLA Ganesh Ghoghra. In such a situation, many big decisions can be taken in this meeting today.
