Sawai Madhopur : Now children will be able to take admission in government schools on the basis of October date. These days Praveshotsav is going on in government schools but the rules of admission of children in government schools at the age of 6 years were preventing them from going to school, but now the children who were facing this problem. They will now be able to take admission in government schools of the state. For this, now children can be admitted to school considering October as the base date.
There was a problem regarding the age determination date for admission in government schools, but now by making amendments in it, the education department has solved the problem of admission of children. In this regard, continuous demands were being raised by teacher organizations and parents. After this, the education department has issued an order.
Orders issued considering 31st July as the basis
According to the Director of Elementary Education Rajasthan Bikaner, as per the RTI guidelines for admission in government, non-government schools, instructions were issued for calculation of the age of children for admission in schools in the academic session 2024-25 on the basis of 31 July 2024. According to these instructions, there was a hindrance in the process of admission of children in government schools. Despite the entrance festival in the government schools of the state, the newly admitted children were not able to take admission in the schools. Regarding this, the teacher organizations had also raised the issue of changing the rules. On the other hand, due to the number of children in the schools being affected, the teachers of government schools were facing problems. Due to this, there was a constant demand for change in the rules. In many schools in the district, such a situation had arisen that the enrollment in government schools was getting very less, while in private schools it was getting more. Regarding this, the Directorate of Education has issued amendments in the rules of admission.
Change in age calculation base date
In the revised guidelines issued by the Directorate of Education, Rajasthan, 1 October 2024 has been considered as the base date for calculating the age of children for admission to school for the academic session 2024-25. Children who complete 6 years of age by this date i.e. 1 October 2024 will be eligible for all admissions in government schools and admission in non-government schools.
