Now in Rajasthan SP-IG and Police Commissioner will not be able to suspend the inspector

Jaipur : Now in Rajasthan, the District Superintendent of Police (SP), DIG and Police Commissioner will not be able to take immediate action of suspension against any police inspector level officer. On Thursday evening, Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahu (UR Sahu) has issued an order regarding this. It is clearly written in this order of the DGP that many times caution is not taken in taking action against police inspector level officers. Suspension action is taken by the District SP, Range IG, DIG and Police Commissioner without any concrete reason. By doing this, the morale of the police officers falls and a feeling of uncertainty towards the service starts to settle down. It is also written in the order issued by the DGP that no purpose is served by such action against police officers. In such a situation, no such action should be taken in future.

No action can be taken without the permission of the DGP

In the order issued by Director General of Police UR Sahu, it has been clearly mentioned that now no District SP, Range IG, DIG and Police Commissioner will take action of suspension against any police inspector level officer. Before doing so, written permission will have to be taken from the DGP. The DGP said that suspension action should be taken in very strict circumstances, but it is often seen that action is taken on the basis of mere allegations, without knowing the side of those against whom action is being taken. Such action has an adverse effect on police officers and personnel. According to the order of the DGP, the decision of suspension should be taken thoughtfully and keeping in mind the definite action. Before suspension, it is necessary to be assured regarding the allegations leveled against the personnel.

Action is being taken due to the interference of leaders

It is often seen that under the influence of MLAs, ministers and other influential leaders, action is taken against police inspector level officers and other policemen by the SP, IG and Police Commissioner. Actions like line attendance, reprimand and suspension cause frustration among the policemen, but they are unable to do anything even if they want to. People know that a particular officer or employee has been removed due to political interference, but subordinate officers and personnel do not raise their voice against the orders of the officers. For such personnel, this order of the DGP is going to encourage them.

Inspector Rajendra Commando was recently put on line duty

Just two days ago, Kekri district’s Todaraisingh police station in-charge Rajendra Commando was suspended. He is accused of misbehaving with the female complainant. A video of the misbehavior has also gone viral on social media, in which no one’s face is visible, only audio is heard. The voice is allegedly of Rajendra Commando and the female complainant. It is also alleged that the police inspector also used abusive language for the minister. However, no investigation has been done on this video and neither does any allegation on police inspector Rajendra Commando seem to be proved. Despite this, on the complaint of the villagers, Kekri SP Vinit Kumar Bansal suspended Inspector Rajendra Commando. After this action of Kekri SP, DGP UR Sahu has issued an order that without his permission, no action of suspension can be taken against an inspector level officer.
