Jaipur : Rajasthan ranks first in the country in the auction of major mineral blocks. Successful e-auction of 303 minor mineral blocks has been conducted in Rajasthan till November 13, 24 in the financial year 2024-25. With this, the state government will get a revenue of Rs 374 crore 98 lakh in the form of premium in three installments. The state government has received revenue of Rs 149 crore 99 lakh as the first installment of 40 percent of the premium.
Rajasthan at number one in auction of major mineral blocks
Principal Secretary T. Ravikant said that Rajasthan has come first in the entire country by successfully auctioning 34 major mineral blocks on the e-portal of the Government of India. Emphasis is being laid on preparing and auctioning as many blocks of major and minor minerals as possible. So that revenue and employment can increase by stopping illegal mining and promoting legal mining. Ravikant told that minor minerals include marble, granite, sand stone, soap stone, calcite, clay, red ochre, quartz-feldspar minerals. He said that in the current financial year, successful auction of 303 blocks with an area of more than 709 hectares has been done through the e-portal of the Government of India. The auction process of 120 minor mineral blocks of 190 hectares area is going on. Preparations for the auction of more than 250 minor mineral blocks are in the final stages.
New record will be made in auction of minor mineral blocks
Director Mines Bhagwati Prasad Kalal said that this year the action was started by preparing a roadmap for auction of minor mineral blocks, the result of which is that like the auction of major mineral blocks, a new record will be created for the auction of minor mineral blocks too. Along with the premium amount, the state government will receive revenue in the form of royalty, DMFT and RSMET.
Due to this, new employment and revenue opportunities are being developed at the local level. He said that new blocks of minor minerals are being prepared for auction. SME Auction Minor Mineral Kamaleshwar Baregama said that apart from these, auction has been conducted for 27 quarry licenses of minor mineral of 23.76 hectares, from which the state government will receive a premium of Rs 4 crore 33 lakh in three installments.
