During this, Kejriwal also targeted other BJP ruled states and compared the pension of the elderly there with that of Delhi, saying that where there is a double engine government, the situation is miserable and where there is a single engine government. , People are happy there. Arvind Kejriwal said that this time 80 thousand new pensions are being opened. When our government was formed in 2015, 3.32 lakh elderly people were getting pension. Aam Aadmi Party increased the pension by 1.25 lakh more in its government. About Rs 4.50 lakh pension was still being received. Now by adding 80 thousand more, more than 5.30 lakh people will get pension.
Arvind Kejriwal has said that the difference between BJP and AAP government is clear. In the states with double engine government (BJP), the elderly are getting pension of only Rs 500 to 1000. Whereas in the single engine government (AAP) Delhi, the elderly will get pension up to Rs 2500. The loss due to BJP’s double engine government is more, AAP’s engine is the right engine for the people of Delhi.
Kejriwal said, “Today I am very happy that pension is being restarted for about 5.5 lakh elderly people of Delhi. Within 24 hours of the launch of the portal, more than 10 thousand applications have been received. BJP has conspired and You committed the sin of stopping the pension. But now your son has come, he will get all your work done.”
Arvind Kejriwal, while comparing the pension received by the elderly people of Delhi with other states, has said that in Delhi, people between 60 years to 69 years get a pension of Rs 2000. Before the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government, this pension was Rs 1000. After our government was formed, we increased it by 1000 more. Elderly people above 70 years of age are getting a pension of Rs 2.5 thousand. Earlier this pension used to be Rs 1.5 thousand.
Kejriwal told that in Rajasthan the elderly get a pension of Rs 1150. In Uttar Pradesh, one gets a pension of Rs 1,000 per month. In Gujarat, the monthly pension is Rs 700 and in Chhattisgarh, the pension is Rs 6.50 per month. In Madhya Pradesh, one gets Rs 650 per month. Monthly pension is Rs 600 in Maharashtra, Rs 300 in Odisha, Rs 500 in Assam and Rs 500 in Goa.
