Jaipur : The state government has taken a big step to simplify the process of issuing life certificates for more than 5 lakh pensioners of the state in the month of November. Under the new system of the Finance Department, now gazetted officers as well as non-gazetted employees will be able to issue life certificates for pensioners through their SSO ID. Taking advantage of this new facility, pensioners will be able to get life certificates from home in just five minutes. Till now, life certificates were issued only at the level of gazetted officers. Due to the number of pensioners being three times more than the number of gazetted officers in the state, there were problems in issuing certificates. Regarding this problem, pensioners had appealed to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal to simplify the process.
It will continue like this
Under the new system, if pensioners ask a non-gazetted personnel to issue a life certificate, he will enter the pensioner’s PPO number and account number through his SSO ID in the option to issue pensioners certificate. After this, he will link his Aadhaar so that the certificate can be digitally signed. After this process, the certificate will be submitted by the personnel and it will be uploaded on the portal of the pension department and the pensioner’s respective bank. Now there is no problem in issuing a life certificate. This process is online and completely paperless, due to which pensioners are getting life certificate sitting at home. If pensioners want to take a print of their life certificate, then its facility is also available. – Kishan Sharma, General Secretary, Rajasthan Pensioners Samaj
