Jaipur : Jaipur The hope of starting mining with the mine auction in Rajasthan has been put on hold for the time being. After the state government got relief from the High Court, now the mine auction case has reached the International Arbitration Tribunal. It is being told that the Australian metal mining company, which was conducting gold mining survey in Bhukia-Jagpura of Patil tehsil of Banswara district, has reached the International Arbitration Tribunal after not getting relief from the Rajasthan High Court. The company is staking claim to take up mining work here even though the state government has already auctioned this mine.
Got relief from High Court after 12 years
Australia’s metal mining company had staked claim for mining here along with exploration work in Janpura-Bhukiya of Banswara. But Metal Mining had gone to the High Court in 2012 when the state government did not allot the mine to the company. Last year in 2023, the High Court gave its decision in favor of the state government. After this the state government auctioned the mine. In the online auction, this mine has been allotted to Owais Ali firm of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. During gold mining in Bhukia-Jagpura area itself, it is estimated that more than 1.74 lakh tonnes of copper, more than 9700 tonnes of nickel and more than 13500 tonnes of cobalt will be found.
