Jaipur : Now on the lines of Surat (Gujarat), rain water will be conserved through 5 rainwater harvesting tube wells at water logged places in Vidyadhar Nagar. The tube wells dug here will be recharged with this water.
10 inch tube well will be dug
A 10-inch tube well will be dug in the water logging area and a 6-inch casing pipe will be inserted in it and sand and gravel will be filled around this pipe. A chamber will be constructed above it so that garbage does not enter inside. The water coming into the filling area during the rainy season will filter through the roady and gravel filled around the pipe through this chamber and will go into the ground through the holes made in the pipe. This will recharge the ground water and this water will be drawn through tube wells. The pipe has been kept about two feet above the ground to prevent rain water from directly entering the groundwater from the top of the pipe.
There will be water in the ground within a few minutes
Five areas of excessive waterlogging during rains have been identified in Vidyadhar Nagar. As soon as it rains and water fills the marked places, it will go directly into the ground through the pipe of the rain water harvesting tube well within a few minutes. After the water goes into the ground, the road will appear completely open and people will not face any problem in commuting.
Five rain water harvesting tube wells in Vidyadhar Nagar on the lines of Surat.
This is a pilot project. Along with rain water conservation, there is an important preparation towards solving the problem like water logging. On the lines of Surat, five rain water harvesting tube wells will be dug in Vidyadhar Nagar. If the project is successful, this project will be taken forward in the entire city.
