Now the luck of beggars will shine in the capital, know how this big change will happen?

Jaipur News Desk: The fate of beggars is about to change in the Pink City of Rajasthan. The beggars here will be picked up from the streets and arrangements will be made for them to stay, eat and learn. The sick will be treated. Along with this, they will be taught many skills, including various types of work and even doing business, so that they can live a better life. For this, the government has entrusted the responsibility to an NGO (Non-Government Organization). This is being done because the state government wants to make Jaipur a beggar-free city before the Rising Rajasthan Summit.

According to a report in The Times of India, along with beautifying a part of the city, the state government wants to make Jaipur ‘beggar-free’ before the Rising Rajasthan Summit. Officials said on Tuesday that this responsibility has been assigned to the District Collectorate. District Collector Jitendra Singh Soni said that to ensure that the glorious image of Jaipur is not tarnished during this world-class event, rehabilitation of people involved in beggary will be ensured as soon as possible. Several teams of officials from District Collectorate, Health Department, Child Protection Unit and Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation have been formed for this work. Members of four NGOs will assist these teams.

The district officer said that traffic officers have been instructed to give information about beggars and street dwellers on the helpline number of Manav Seva Sansthan in Jaipur. Municipal corporation officials will have to ensure cleanliness and basic facilities in the identified rehabilitation homes. Other arrangements including adequate food will be made for the beggars. For food, one will have to connect with Annapurna Rasoi Yojana. Health department officials have been instructed to check possible diseases by conducting tests for Covid, TB, HIV and other diseases in these facilities.

Officials said the government has also planned to help these beggars become entrepreneurs. Rajasthan Skill Livelihood Development will organize residential training programme. Will provide them loans or grants and other schemes of the departments to ensure proper rehabilitation. The NGOs appointed by the government will also play their role. “Each of the four appointed NGOs has been given a target to rescue at least 100 people. The campaign to make the city beggar-free has been going on for a long time, but it has gained momentum due to the Rising Rajasthan Summit.
