Jaipur : To prevent industrial areas from becoming real estate markets, the state government is going to amend the RIICO land disposal rules. In this, the time limit from starting production to imposing penalty can be reduced. Those who buy land at a cheaper rate from the market and make profits by selling it will also be punished. RIICO is doing homework on this on the instructions of the Industry Minister. According to RIICO officials, in the last two years, about 48 allotments of those who did not comply with the land allotment conditions have been canceled. To make Rajasthan an industry hub, the government will now ensure to allocate land to those people who actually want to set up industry. There will be discussion on the industrial experience of such people as well as future planning.
Right now this is the provision
The industrial unit has to be set up and production has to be started within three years of the allotment of the plot. If the industry is not started within this time limit, the allottee is given 7 more years. There is a provision to give a chance by imposing a penalty for this. That is, if production is not started within ten years, then the allotment can be cancelled. This is happening in most of the cases.
MLA is also vocal
The MLAs also raised the issues in the assembly like not setting up industries by many allottees in the industrial areas of RIICO, selling the land to others or giving it on lease. Anita Bhadel, Yunus Khan, Subhash Garg, Priyanka Chaudhary and other MLAs informed about these issues.
