Ajmer : Ajmer Biometric verification of candidates will now be done in counseling and document verification including examinations-interviews. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has approved biometric verification through Aadhar card to Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). This will facilitate in identifying dummy and fake candidates. According to Secretary Ramniwas Mehta, cases of making dummy-fake candidates sit in various examinations including Senior Teacher Recruitment-2022, and submitting fake documents in counseling were caught. After this, RPSC sent a proposal for biometric verification to the Personnel Department. The department sent a letter to the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on 8 May. The ministry has approved the verification of candidates with Aadhar card under Section 4 of the Aadhar Act 2016 and Aadhar Authentication for Good Governance Rules 2020.

Aadhaar card is designed to provide a unique identification number to the common man. UIDAI provides an online biometric (finger, face, iris) verification facility. In this, the 12-digit unique Aadhaar number is sent to the Central Identity Data Repository for verification of other attributes including biometrics.
