Jaipur : After the guidelines of the Supreme Court and the Central Government in Rajasthan, the government has also taken a big step on Tuesday to bring transparency in the Food Security Plan being run in the state. Food Minister Sumit Godara said that lakhs of ineligible beneficiaries are taking ration wheat under the scheme. Except tractors and private commercial vehicles, four-wheeler owners and those filing income tax returns will be excluded from the food security list.
Ration will not be available from November 1
The list of beneficiaries who have filed returns has been sought from the Income Tax Department. He said that it is necessary for every beneficiary selected in the scheme to get e-KYC done. More than 4 crore 43 lakh names have been added under the scheme in Rajasthan and out of these, more than 82 lakh 55 thousand beneficiaries are those who have not yet done KYC. If e-KYC is not done by 31 October, the name of the beneficiary will be removed from the scheme and he will not get ration wheat from 1 November. To add the name again in the list, a three-member committee of the school principal, patwari and village servant will be formed at the local level. The name will be added to the Food Security List only on the recommendation of the committee.
