Now tribals will leave huts and live in concrete houses, know this plan of Rajasthan government

Kota : Every Sahariya family of Kishanganj-Shahabad, a tribal area in Baran district of Rajasthan is going to get a permanent house. Soon they will leave their huts and shift to their permanent houses. Under the PM Janman Yojana (PM-JANMAN), this district is in second place in the country. Work is going on here at a fast pace under this campaign.

Additional District Collector of Sahriya Eradication Area Shahabad, Jabbar Singh said that camps are being organised continuously in the area. Relief is being provided to the general public by organising camps at two places every day. Every Sahriya family living here is being given permanent housing under the PM Jan Man Yojana.

Only Baran district has been selected in the whole of Rajasthan

Baran District Collector Rohitashv Singh Tomar said that the Pradhan Mantri Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Jharkhand in November last year. Under this, only Baran district was selected in Rajasthan, because the Sahariya tribal community resides in Baran district only. He said that under the PM Janman Maha Abhiyan, work is being done on 11 schemes of 9 departments, in which the progress of work is very good.

Out of 16 thousand, 3500 houses were built

The collector further said that out of the 16 thousand houses approved under the campaign in the district, about 3 and a half thousand houses have been built so far. Under the RDSS scheme, 17000 electricity connections were to be given to the people of Sahariya tribe, in lieu of which 15000 electricity connections have been given so far. The progress of work in all other schemes is good.

Trying to innovate with the campaign
The DM said that an innovation has also been done under this campaign, under which IC campions and camps are being organized in all the gram panchayats of Kishanganj and Shahabad Panchayat Samiti of the district from 23 August to 10 September. In this, the people of the left out Saharia tribe are being linked to various schemes of the central and state government. Not only this, the government has also started the portal of NFSA for the tribals.

It is noteworthy that two additional posts of District Collector have been created in Baran district. One post is the District Headquarters Mini Secretariat.
