Jodhpur : The system used to prevent train accidents will be taught in Jodhpur. The good thing is that the university will not charge any fee from the students. This course will be of 6 months to 2 years. Railway armor system will be taught in Jodhpur. For this, an MoU has been signed between Indian Railway Institute of Signaling and Telecommunications (IRISET) Secunderabad (Telangana) and Mangani Ram Bangar Memorial (MBM) University. Any student pursuing engineering will be able to do it along with his course. No fee will be charged by the university. The expenses incurred under this will be borne by the railways.
MoU signed for 5 years
Lalit Kumar Mansukhani, Principal Executive Director of IRISET, who is called the father of Kavach system in railways, and Professor Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of MBM University, signed a 5-year MoU. Under this, both the institutes will also cooperate in research and development of ‘Kavach’ system. Also, students pursuing the course will be able to get information about this system.
They will get the benefit of this MoU
This MoU will benefit students of Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication, Electronics in IOT, Electrical and Mechanical, for whom optional courses on advanced signaling and armor of railways will be started.
This is how the garbage system works
‘Kavach’ is an automatic rail protection technology. In this, suppose two trains accidentally come on the same track, then before coming close to each other, the Kavach system will stop the train by applying brakes, which will prevent an accident. This will completely curb rail accidents.
This effort will prove to be a milestone
Efforts have been made by the railways to make the security system more robust, in such a situation this effort is also going to prove to be a milestone. Railway DRM Pankaj Kumar Singh said – Due to this there will be no shortage of manpower in the working class of the railways. Along with this, the security system of the railways will be even stronger. Due to this, courses on Railway Advanced Signaling and Kavach will be available as optional subjects for engineering students. A coordination committee will also be formed under the chairmanship of Senior Professor IT and Kavach Secunderabad for cooperation, coordination and monitoring between the two institutions. The coordinator of MBM Engineering University will be the co-chairman in this and two representatives nominated by the Vice Chancellor of the college and two representatives of IRISET Secunderabad will be included.
this will be the course
IRISET offers skill development programs and industrial training on signaling, telecommunication and indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) – armor in its state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. Under this MOU, MBM University will start short-term PG diploma and certificate courses on Railway Signal Engineering and armor, ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
Know how this armor system works
In this technology, the engine is connected to the signal system and control tower through microprocessor, Global Positioning System (GPS) and radio communication. It prevents collision between two engines of a train in which Rail Kavach system is working.
