Jaipur : Rajasthan government has announced to worship all the water reservoirs on the day of Jal Jhulni Gyaras (Jal Jhulni Ekadashi 2024) keeping in view the importance of water. But this tradition has been going on in Banswara city since centuries. On this day, the idols of the Lord come out from all the major temples of Banswara city and reach the holy reservoir Raj Talab via the main routes, where the Lord is bathed and the reservoir is worshiped.

Apart from the major temples of the city, Radhavallabh Temple, Narsingh Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Roopchaturbhuj, Raghunath Ji Temple, devotees from many other temples take out a tour of the city on Jal Jhoolani Gyaras. During this, thousands of devotees present offer gifts and fruits etc. to God as per their capacity. The tribal class offers their crops to God and then uses it. Maize production is high in Banswara district, due to which maize crop is offered to God and only then it is used. This tradition is an important part of the cultural heritage of Banswara city and is an important festival for the people here.
