Bikaner : Principal Anita Jangid joined in May 2018. At that time, about 480 girl students were enrolled. Now about 600 girl students are studying. She changed the picture of the school in 6 years. These include construction of verandah and two classrooms with the help of philanthropists, repair of damaged rooms, solar light system, 32 CCTV cameras, digital library, 4 state-of-the-art toilets, Jal Mandir for pure drinking water, and sports equipment for students. Apart from this, colorful furniture for primary level children and beautification of school premises have also been done. The school has also been selected in the Prime Minister’s PM Shri scheme.
School will develop with PM Shri scheme
District Education Officer Jitendra Bathla said that the staff has played a special role in getting the school selected as per the standards of PM Shri Yojana. Under this scheme, the Central Government will get development work done worth about Rs 2 crore, which will further improve the academic and co-curricular activities in the school. Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Hostel is also expected to increase the level of education of girls.
Special information is also given on sensitive issues
Apart from education, Principal Jangid and her staff make the students aware of social and sensitive issues. They are informed about the increasing crimes in the society, which includes important issues like ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’. Various activities are also organized in the school keeping in mind the physical and mental development of the students. Principal Jangid also calls the students alone every day and talks to them, so that the students can speak openly.

Anita Jangid believes that drug addiction is increasing among students these days, so the staff tells the students from time to time about the importance of sports and ways to avoid drug addiction.
