Lord Shri Krishna performs Raas with Radha and Gopis at midnight
The amazing place situated in Vrindavan is known as Nidhivan and Madhuvan. It is situated in Vrindavan Dham near Yamuna, 15 kms from Mathura. It is believed that even today Lord Shri Krishna and Radha Rani reach here to perform Raasleela at midnight. As soon as they arrive, the vines of Tulsi trees of Nidhivan take the form of Gopis. After this, Shri Krishna plays the flute and gets engrossed in dance leela with all the Gopis including Radha Rani. After performing Raas here, Lord rests in the Rang Mahal built there. And when the doors of ‘Rang Mahal’ open at 5 in the morning, the bed is found untidy, the water in the pot is empty and the paan is found eaten.
The vines of the trees are the earth and the form of the gopis
In the morning, the offerings and decoration items offered by the devotees in the evening are found in a mess. The bed laid in the Rang Mahal is also found in a mess. It appears as if someone has rested there for the night. Similarly, the creepers of the Tulsi tree that have become gopis also return to their original form. It is said that the branches of these trees never grow upwards, but grow downwards.
The gates are closed as soon as evening falls
It is said that watching the Raasleela of Lord Shri Krishna is prohibited for humans. This is the reason why the doors are closed after the evening aarti. There are many incidents behind this. Local people say that whoever tried to see the Raasleela of Radha-Krishna either became blind or went mad or died. The special thing about Nidhivan is that all the trees and plants here are planted in pairs. Along with this, their branches are connected to each other. It is said that no one can even move them from here. Whoever has tried to move them from here to another place has become a victim of disaster.
