On the tremendous success of ‘The Rule’, Siddharth said, ‘It is not a big deal’

Mumbai, December 10 (IANS). Actor Siddharth, known for his work in ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Jigarthanda’ and other films, termed the success of the recently released Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ as pure marketing and said it is no big deal. .

Siddharth recently gave an interview which is rapidly going viral on social media. In this, he is seen comparing the Allu Arjun starrer film with the roadside construction done by JCB machines.

The actor was referring to the chaos that broke out at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan on November 17, where a huge crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the film’s lead actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.

He told Tamil YouTuber Madan Gauri, “It’s all marketing. In India, gathering a crowd is not a big deal. You bring a JCB for a construction and the crowd automatically gathers. So gathering a crowd in Bihar is not a big deal.” No. There is no relation between gathering big crowds and quality in India.

He further said, “If that were the case, all political parties would be winning. In our days, this crowd was for biryani and quarter packet (liquor).”

Meanwhile, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’, released on December 5, is receiving a lot of praise. Like the film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, released in December 2021, it is also making waves at the box-office.

‘Pushpa: The Rule’ starts from where ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ ended. In this, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is seen reprising his lead role.

Only one poster of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was launched ahead of its release, as Indian cinema struggles to get back on track due to the slowdown of the economy following months of lockdown and the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country .

‘Pushpa: The Rule’ has so far earned Rs 880 crore worldwide.
