Ranchi, 23 November (IANS). Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed gratitude to the people of the state on the victory of the alliance in the state assembly elections. Addressing the media on Saturday evening, he said that we are going to create the history of ‘Abua Raj, Abua Sarkar’ (own rule, own government) in Jharkhand.
Hemant Soren said that the people of the state might have seen such an election for the first time. We passed the test of democracy successfully. He also expressed gratitude on the congratulatory message received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the victory. Soren said that people celebrated this great festival of democracy with great enthusiasm. Women and youth participated enthusiastically in this. He expressed his gratitude to all the people who contested the elections.
Jharkhand Congress in-charge and party’s national general secretary Ghulam Ahmed, present on the occasion, said that the people of Jharkhand have shown that they are politically mature. On one hand, our alliance kept the details of its five years of work and presented its agenda for the next five years, while on the other hand, people from the other side failed to show that they can do anything on the ground for Jharkhand.
Mir said that despite the adverse circumstances and political instability due to Covid, the way this government tried to serve the people, it was accepted by the people. He said that in this election success we especially got the cooperation and support of half the population of the state.
RJD’s national general secretary Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav said, ‘This is a historic day. India alliance has won public trust. Hate has lost. People from all sections of the society have blessed this government. ‘ In the elections for 81 member assembly seats of Jharkhand, JMM, Congress, RJD and CPI-ML alliance has won 30 seats in the counting of votes till 6 pm, while it seems to be moving towards victory on 26 other seats.
