Jaipur : The state government has made large-scale transfers of officers in urban bodies. From Deputy Commissioner, Executive Officer, Revenue Officer to Tax Assessors were changed. These include 155 officers, while twenty officers have also been given additional responsibilities of other bodies.
It is being told that the state government wanted to replace the officers appointed during the previous Congress government. On this, the Autonomous Government Minister approved the list after a long struggle. However, this list reached the Chief Minister’s Office. It was changed several times. Officers surrounded by controversies or allegations of corruption were asked not to be given field postings and the list was made on the same basis. Later the list was changed and most of them were given field postings. There was also pressure from many public representatives in this.
In Jaipur, four Deputy Commissioners were transferred from both the Municipal Corporations, in which the transfer of Naveen Bhardwaj is in discussion. The most popular name in the list was that of Monica Soni, who was successful in coming to Jaipur. Apart from Revenue Officer, he has also been given the responsibility of Deputy Commissioner of Horticulture. Department officials claim that transfers have been made only after the permission of the state government.
