‘One Nation One Election’ is not possible, but BJP makes the impossible possible: Mata Prasad Pandey

Bahraich, 12 December (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey reached Bahraich on Thursday on a one-day visit. Talking to journalists, he said that ‘One Nation One Election’ is not possible at present, but the specialty of BJP is that it makes even the impossible possible.

Mata Prasad Pandey said that it does not seem possible to completely implement the issue of ‘One Nation One Election’ at present, but BJP has always been capable of making the impossible possible. Depending on the plans and strategies they have, this may be possible in the future.

The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the bill related to ‘One Nation, One Election’. The winter session of Parliament is going on. This bill can be presented in Parliament in this session. According to media reports, the Union Cabinet has already approved the Ramnath Kovind Committee report on ‘One Nation, One Election’. This bill paves the way for simultaneous elections in the entire country. According to sources, the central government now wants to build a consensus on the bill. The government can send it to the Joint Parliamentary Committee or JPC for detailed discussion.

Countering the allegations made by Praveen Togadia on BJP in Lakhimpur Kheri, Mata Prasad Pandey said that Praveen Togadia is the same BJP leader who had alleged that if he had not left the party, he would have been killed. Such allegations cannot be taken seriously.

When asked about the ‘India’ block, he said that there is no rift in the alliance. The contradiction that has emerged regarding the statements of Ram Gopal Yadav and Dimple Yadav cannot weaken the unity of the alliance in any way. The alliance is strong and committed to its objective.

Responding to the recent uproar in Maharajganj of Mahsi tehsil, he said that I am taking full cognizance of this issue and will raise this issue strongly in the Assembly. We will fight for justice and get strict punishment for the culprits.
