New Delhi, December 12 (IANS). Congress leader Atul Londhe spoke to IANS on Thursday regarding Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut’s comparison of India with Syria and the expansion of the Maharashtra cabinet. He said that one religion is being fought with another religion in the country.
Atul Londhe said, “Syria has become completely ruined and hollow. The President there has had to flee. We have seen this in many countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka because of the Jamaat. Now BJP is trying to bring the same basic elements here. Trying to put one religion in front of another. This is very serious and should be thought about.
Regarding the division of portfolios of ministers in Maharashtra, the Congress leader said, “These are the people who believe that parties grow and move forward because of important ministries. They have nothing to do with the welfare of the general public. It is heard from the people of his party that Eknath Shinde has spent a lot of money and hence BJP may not want him to get a chance. “If we don’t get good ministries, the BJP will swallow us. That’s why the ministry has not been decided yet.”
Taking a dig at the start of applications for NRC in Assam, the Congress leader said, “The question of unemployment there has been resolved. There is so much happiness in the state that they don’t even have a place to keep their money. There are fair prices for crops there.” That’s why the government should not move away from the core issues by pushing the NRC.
On the approval of the draft bill related to ‘One Nation, One Election’ from the Union Cabinet, the Congress leader said, “If the bill is passed by December 20, will all the elections be held simultaneously? This is our question to the government. “
Regarding Operation Lotus in Maharashtra, he said, “The dragon named BJP is swallowing the economic, political and social system of the country and Maharashtra.”
