Noida, November 27 (IANS). Noida Police has arrested an accused who was wanted for a long time. He, along with his associates, had committed a fraud worth crores of rupees by showing fake papers to people in the name of getting land near Jewar Airport. Many of his associates have already been arrested. He was absconding for a long time. The police had also placed a reward of Rs 10,000 on him.
Police have so far taken action against 19 people in this case. The accused was arrested in a joint operation by the Crime Branch and Sector-63 police station.
Police said that on December 6, 2023, the victim had lodged a complaint in the police station that accused Sachin Bhati and his 16 associates had cheated the victim and his associates by showing them land near Jewar Airport and got fake land documents prepared.
After this, even after taking crores of rupees, neither the land was given nor the money was returned. When the victims asked for the money back, they received death threats.
After this the police registered an FIR and started searching for the accused. Police said that on Wednesday the accused Javed alias Javid was arrested from Durga Chowk in Surajpur. He was absconding for almost a year and a reward of Rs 10,000 was declared on him.
Police said that the accused Javed alias Javid, along with his associates, had taken the victim and his associates into confidence by showing them land near Jewar Airport. After that, crores of rupees were taken by fraudulently preparing fake documents of that land. So far, action has been taken against a total of 19 accused, taking action against those named and who came forward in the investigation.
