Only these people will get gas cylinder for Rs 450 in Rajasthan, CM announces

Jaipur : The scope of the scheme of providing gas cylinders for Rs 450 in Rajasthan has now increased further. On Monday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma made a big announcement regarding this in the Assembly. Along with this, the government will provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh under the Aashray Yojana to build permanent houses for those people living in notified slums, who do not have permanent houses yet.

Scope of gas cylinder scheme increased for Rs 450

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma made several new announcements during the discussion on the Finance and Appropriation Bill in the Assembly on Monday. He announced to increase the number of electric buses from 500 to 1000 for public transport in big cities. Along with this, CM Sharma made a big announcement and increased the scope of the scheme of providing gas cylinders for Rs 450 in the state. Earlier in Rajasthan, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and BPL category families used to get gas cylinders for Rs 450.

The scheme started from January 1, 2024

Actually, during the Rajasthan assembly elections, the BJP had promised to give gas cylinders to poor families for Rs 450. After this, when the BJP government was formed in the state, Chief Minister Bhajanlal announced to give cylinders for Rs 450 from January 1, 2024. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, people used to get gas cylinders for Rs 600 from the central government. On which the Rajasthan government started giving gas cylinders for Rs 450 by giving a separate subsidy of Rs 150.

Those who take ration wheat will also get benefit

Expanding its scope, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that now all the families in the state who take wheat as ration, that is, those who take benefit of NFSA, will also get gas cylinder for Rs 450. Along with this, he said that the families living in slums will be given Rs 1 lakh assistance to build permanent houses. This benefit will be given to those people who do not have permanent houses of their own.
