Opposition leaders are being prevented from regaining their composure so that the truth does not come out: Sandeep Dixit

New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). Congress leader Sandeep Dixit on Wednesday launched a verbal attack on the Uttar Pradesh and Delhi governments. Speaking to news agency IANS, he expressed his concern over the recent Sambhal violence in Uttar Pradesh.

Sandeep Dixit alleged that Yogi Adityanath’s government is preventing the country’s opposition leaders from being careful, because they fear that the truth will come out and their law and order image will be damaged.

He said that there has been a tradition in Indian politics that whenever a violent incident occurs, the leaders go there and live among the people and try to know the truth. But, the Uttar Pradesh government wants to prevent the truth from coming out. Violence occurred after incidents like Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. This incident has raised questions on the working style of the police and administration there. The government is worried that if the truth comes out, the image of law and order created under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath will be completely destroyed.

Dixit also expressed her criticism on the issue of law and order in Delhi and Punjab. He said that the CCTV which the Delhi government had promised to install has proved to be a fraud. He raised the question whether any crime has taken place in Delhi which has been captured on CCTV? Was the promise of installing CCTV in every corner of Delhi just a show? Referring to the murder of famous singer Sidhu Moosewala, he also drew attention towards the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab.

He said that the problem of drugs is continuously increasing in Punjab. The drugs which earlier came from Himachal and other states have now become three-four times more expensive. Punjab Police has failed to control it. Targeting Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, he said that Kejriwal and his government do not pay attention to the problems of Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal ignores the problem of increasing crime and drugs in Punjab.
