Firozabad, November 17 (IANS). Regarding the issue of fatwa by Ulemas in favor of Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra Assembly elections, former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has called it a misfortune for the country.
Acharya Pramod Krishnam said, “The country will be run by the Constitution and not by fatwas. Gone is the era when some people used to form and break governments by issuing fatwas. Even now there are some leaders of the opposition who believe in fatwas and the Constitution. No. This is the misfortune of the country and democracy.”
He said, “I think the entire country and the world knows who want to divide the country into castes. When such people go out of India, they defame India. These are the same people who want to get the throne of power. Want to divide India? CM Yogi Adityanath has said that if you divide you will be divided. In such a situation, we take a pledge that we will neither allow it to be divided nor divided.
The All India Ulema Board had written a letter to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) offering its support to form the government in Maharashtra. The politics of Maharashtra has become heated regarding this.
Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said some Muslim groups, especially the Muslim Personal Law Board and the Ulema Council, are playing vote bank politics by associating with the Congress and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). By these organizations, Muslims are being mobilized against BJP and they are being given the message that the Muslims who are with BJP, their hookah drinking should be stopped. He said that a planned attempt at “vote jihad” was being carried out in Maharashtra.
