Opposition to celebrating ‘Tribal Rights Day’ at Pandavas’ place due to MP Roat’s statement on Hindu, understand the whole matter

Jaipur : A controversy has arisen over the Adivasi Adhikar Diwas program organized by Bharat Adivasi Parivar at Ghotiya Amba Dham in Banswara district of Rajasthan. MP Rajkumar Roat will also participate in the proposed program, but there is opposition to his coming here. People say that if the MP does not consider the tribals as Hindus, then why is he coming to a Hindu religious place?

Memorandum submitted to the collector

On July 18, MP Roat and Adivasi Samaj Parivar, Bhil Pradesh Mukti Morcha had said in a meeting at Mangarh Dham that they are not Hindus. Other speakers insulted the deities and called upon women not to wear sindoor and bindi. For this reason, the committee has come out in protest and has submitted a memorandum to the collector. Adivasi Samaj Hindu Dharma Jagran Samiti president Devi Lal Rawat says that the MP can hold a program there only if he takes back his statement and apologizes. Rawat said that if the tribals were not Hindus, their forefathers would not have immersed the ashes in the pond of Ghotiya Amba Dham.

Sculptures and ancient pools

Similarly, Kamalkant Katara, the convener of Adivasi Aarakshan Manch, also wrote on social media that idols of Pandavas have been installed in Ghotiya Amba since ancient times and there is also a Shiva temple. There is a holy pond, where the immersion of ashes takes place according to Hindu tradition. People who do not consider themselves Hindus are organizing such events at the place of faith of Hindus. Either they should first apologize for their statement of not being Hindus or they should organize the program at some other place.

What is the reason behind the program?

Bharat Adivasi Party is organizing Adivasi Adhikar Diwas in various districts with the objective of creating public awareness about the rights given in the Constitution. Under this, it has been organized in some other districts apart from Udaipur and Pratapgarh so far and now this day is being celebrated in Banswara. Similarly, a program is proposed to be organized by the Adivasi family at Ghotiya Amba Dham in Banswara. MP Rajkumar Roat will also participate in it. But there is opposition to Roat coming to Amba Dham. None of our colleagues should mess with those people who try to spoil the atmosphere by instigating innocent people with the objective of disturbing the peaceful tribal area! Rajkumar Roat shared Kamal Kant Katara’s Facebook post on Instagram and wrote, ‘None of our colleagues should mess with those people who try to spoil the atmosphere by instigating innocent people with the objective of disturbing the peaceful tribal area! Also, the police administration should take legal action against such people. These are the same people who made the peaceful Kakri movement violent by entering inside.’
