Mumbai, December 8 (IANS). Maharashtra Congress leader Amin Patel, while speaking to IANS on Sunday, expressed his views on the role of the opposition. He said that the job of the opposition is to always stand with the people.
Amin Patel said that the opposition will strongly raise its voice against the way atrocities and injustice is being done to the people.
He said that we have taken an oath to raise the voice of the people. His party is not going to step back from its responsibilities. We will work in the interest of Maharashtra and the opposition will raise public issues both inside and outside the House.
On Mamata Banerjee’s desire for leadership of India Block, Amin Patel said that this is an issue of India Block. Our senior Congress leaders will discuss this. There will be a meeting of senior leaders of India Block in Delhi, where this issue will be discussed.
He said that Rahul Gandhi is giving excellent leadership to the country and changes have been seen in the Parliament in the last six months. Rahul Gandhi has been bringing significant changes in Parliament in the last six months. The bill is now being sent to the Joint Parliament Committee, the opposition has now become active in the India Bloc.
Meanwhile, Amin Patel also reacted to Jammu and Kashmir leader Iltija Mufti calling Hindutva a ‘disease’. He said that every person has full right to adopt his religion and religion. In this country we live in Ganga-Jamuni culture, and respect every religion.
