Orders for agricultural connections issued on Bundi papers, 219 connections are stuck

Bundi : Bundi Despite being the in-charge minister of Electricity Minister Hiralal Nagar district, transformers are not being found for new agricultural connections. Even after the connection order was issued three and a half months ago, 219 electricity connections are stuck in Ninth subdivision. Farmers have been making rounds of JVVNL office for three and a half months. Demand has also been sent by the corporation, but transformers are not being provided. Even after three and a half months of JVVNL releasing electricity connections, transformers are not being provided to the farmers for electricity connections for agriculture. According to the Assistant Engineer’s Office, 219 agricultural connection orders had been issued three and a half months ago on August 6. Due to non-availability of transformer, not a single connection has been made yet. There are orders for connection on paper, but due to lack of transformer, agricultural connections are not being started. Whereas JVVNL had to start electricity connections before sowing of Rabi crop. Agricultural electricity connections are to be started in the villages of Rajalawata, Jajawar, Bamangaon, Bachola, Khanpura, Dei, Bansi, Dugari, Bhajaneri, Sadeda, Mara, Sisola, Phuleta, Dokun gram panchayats of the subdivision.

Even on Tuesday, many farmers had come to the Assistant Engineer’s office with connection orders for transformers. Morpal of Badi Padap, Ramswaroop of Chenpuriya, Madanlal Meena told that they have been making rounds of the office for two months with the connection order. One answer received is that transformers are not available from above.

Even after being burnt, nothing has changed.

Burnt transformers are also not being replaced in the subdivision for 15 days. 28 burnt transformers were to be replaced in the subdivision since November 11. Farmers are worried as even burnt transformers are not arriving.

JVVNL Nainwan Assistant Engineer Manjul Govind says that a demand letter has been sent to the Superintendent Engineer’s office to provide transformers for new connections. 219 agricultural connections are stuck due to non-availability of transformers.
