Jhalawar : Jhalawar To protect themselves from the ill effects of increasing chemicals, the farmers of the district are now returning to organic farming. There are 7755 farmers in the district who are doing completely organic farming. Crops are being grown organically on 12 thousand 819 hectares of land in the district. Wheat, gram, peas and vegetables are being grown in Rabi season and soybean, groundnut, maize, urad and many types of vegetables are being grown in Kharif season. These farmers say that there is no harm to the environment by farming organically. The friendly insects of crops also remain safe. They eat other insects, while farming using chemicals pollutes the environment. Serious diseases like skin disease and cancer are also occurring in humans. This is the result of chemical farming.
Government should pay attention to organic farming
Devi Lal Gurjar, a resident of Dhaturia, an organic farmer, said that a large number of farmers in the district are doing organic farming. Regular training on organic farming should also be given in Agricultural Science Center and Agricultural University. Many serious diseases are occurring due to excessive use of pesticides and urea in crops. If we want to improve our health, we will have to adopt organic farming. I grow wheat, fenugreek, coriander etc. in 9 bighas.
The effect of the chemical lasts for four days
Organic farmer Gopal Dangi, resident of Jetakhedi, said that when chemical is used, its effect on crops and vegetables lasts for four days. If we eat the same grains and vegetables, it affects our health also. This is the cause of many serious diseases. For this reason, I do completely organic farming in three bighas. In which I buy wheat and vegetables in Rabi. In Kharif, I grow maize, urad, chamwala, moong etc. organically.
