A lecture was organized on Dowry System Abolition Act and Prevention of Women Harassment at Tonk : Government College on Saturday. While presiding over the program, Principal Dr. Deepak Raj Jain inspired the girl students to be aware of their rights.
Keynote speaker Shipra Sharma Mahavidyalaya discussed in detail the Dowry System Abolition Act 1986, POCSO Act, Women Harassment Prevention Act. Gave information about various aspects related to this. During this he said that it is necessary for women to raise their voice for their rights. If women face any kind of problem then they should go to the concerned police station and inform about it.
Women should be made aware about POCSO Act and prevention of women harassment. Such programs should be organized in every village panchayat school college. The program was conducted by Suman Dhania. Program in-charge Dr. Sona Aggarwal made the girl students aware of their rights and duties and resisting wrongs. Rupa Choudhary expressed her gratitude. All the faculty members and students were present during the program.
