Our government is always ready to talk on farmers’ issues: Dinesh Sharma

New Delhi, December 2 (IANS). Senior BJP leader and MP Dinesh Sharma responded to many important issues in a special conversation with IANS on Monday. During this, he reacted strongly to the farmers’ movement, Mehbooba Mufti’s comparison of Bangladesh and India, and Samajwadi Party leader Iqbal Mahmood’s statement in the Sambhal case.

Dinesh Sharma said on the farmers’ movement that farmers are our food providers. The budget of our party is completely farmer and agriculture based. This country is a country of agricultural-sage tradition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always given priority to the problems of farmers and the Agriculture Minister is also always ready to talk on all the issues of farmers. In Uttar Pradesh, our farmer brothers have also made BJP win and this proves that the farmers are with BJP. If farmers face any problem, we are ready to work on it.

On Mehbooba Mufti comparing Bangladesh and India, Dinesh Sharma said that Mehbooba Mufti does not see any difference between India and Bangladesh. Perhaps he does not know the real situation of Bangladesh. Why are the atrocities being committed against the minority community not visible there? In Bangladesh, peaceful protestors are put in jail. But here the leaders of Congress, Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress do not see this issue. Why should these opposition leaders not speak about the situation of minorities in Bangladesh?”

He said that opposition leaders always make statements against the Hindu community, but they do not see all this in Bangladesh and other places where the Hindu community is being killed. He said, “These people are only fond of doing communal politics. The public has elected them to work and not to create division in the name of religion.

During this, he reacted to the statement given by SP leader Iqbal Mahmood in the Sambhal case. He said that this statement is just an attempt to break the unity and integrity of the country. Such statements are made only to appease the Muslim community. Any religion, be it Hindu or Muslim, their rights are fully protected by the government. There is no threat regarding mosques or temples. The public has identified the people spreading rumours.

He said that we have respect for every religion and we pledge to protect all religious places. There is no threat to any mosque or temple, and there will be no benefit in misleading the public by making unnecessary statements. People who are engaged only in making statements and creating hysteria have been completely rejected by the public. These people need to do their work, and the public has elected them to work, and not to do communal politics.
