Karauli : Karauli A retired teacher resident of Mandavra died in a collision with a truck at around 6 am on Monday morning near Mandavra intersection on the Kurgaon road. Due to which the angry villagers blocked the Kurgaon Sapotra road. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and counseled, after which people removed the jam. Raghuveer Sharma (72), son of Sualal Sharma, resident of village Mandavara of Gram Panchayat Mahamadpur, had left home for a walk on Monday morning. While coming back, he was hit by a truck coming from behind near Mandavara intersection. Due to which he was seriously injured. Who were taken to Kurgaon Community Health Center by ambulance. From where he was referred to Karauli General Hospital. Where he died during treatment. The police conducted post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members.
Truck seized, search for driver continues: In the case of road accident, police station officer Rukmani Gurjar said that the police has seized the truck and the truck driver is being searched. The villagers have demanded to make speed breakers. For which efforts will be made to solve the problem by talking to officials from the concerned department.
Vehicles running at high speed due to lack of speed breaker
Accident After receiving information about the jam, policemen including police station officer Rukmani Gurjar reached the spot. The villagers told that due to the absence of speed breakers on this route, vehicles run at high speed. Despite there being an intersection, the drivers do not slow down their speed. Due to which accidents keep happening. While protesting against the incident, the villagers asked not to remove the jam, but the police station officer, after persuasion, got the jam removed. After which the traffic became smooth. The villagers demanded action against overloaded vehicles and speed breakers should be made soon. Of which the police station officer assured.
