Due to the efforts of MP Rahul Kaswan, Rs. 24.97 crore was sanctioned for this overbridge for the first time on 7 July 2017. Approval was received, but later the construction company stopped the work midway. MP Kaswan continued his efforts and got the revised estimate approved for Rs 36.03 crore on 17 November 2021 and the overbridge work started with the tender process for the third time.

After the tender process, Poonia Construction Company took over this work and started the construction work, but due to the railway not giving traffic block from Aarey, this work again stopped for several days. Traffic block was received from the Railways from last Sunday night till 24th December. Since then the construction work of this overbridge is being done at a fast pace. 990 m.
