New Delhi, December 10 (IANS). All the parties are announcing the names of their candidates for the assembly elections to be held next year in Delhi. In this sequence, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has fielded Delhi riots accused Tahir Hussain in the election field.
AIMIM has made Tahir Hussain its candidate from Mustafabad assembly seat. Asaduddin Owaisi himself gave this information through social media. On Tuesday, Tahir Hussain along with his wife and son met AIMIM Chief Owaisi at his home.
Asaduddin Owaisi shared the photo of this meeting on social media platform His family members and supporters met me today and attended the party.
On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted sharply to AIMIM giving ticket to Tahir Hussain for Delhi Assembly elections. BJP national secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Owaisi has made Tahir Hussain his party’s candidate from Mustafabad. This is the same Tahir Hussain, who created riots across the Yamuna, killed innocent people, burnt the houses of Hindus and murdered IB officer Ankit Sharma. Owaisi has made it very clear that he is honoring those people who are burning Hindu houses and killing Hindus. It is very clear that those people are being encouraged, those people are being rewarded. Owaisi will make such people MLAs and MPs. This is hate politics. The Election Commission should take cognizance of this.
BJP leader Kapil Mishra, targeting Asaduddin Owaisi, wrote on social media platform , who got IB officer Ankit Sharma murdered, making Tahir Hussain contest the elections is an attempt to challenge the Hindus of Delhi. Owaisi, remember that if you try to create riots in the name of Tahir Hussain in Delhi again, your seven generations will remember the consequences.
Tahir Hussain is an accused in the riots that took place in Delhi in February 2020. He has also won the election of Municipal Councilor from Aam Aadmi Party. However, the party suspended Hussain after his name cropped up in the Delhi riots.
