Jaipur : Travel tech platform OYO is opening a new hotel every 2-3 days in Rajasthan and plans to set up a back office in the state to support its overseas business. Company CEO Ritesh Aggarwal shared this information at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit on Tuesday.
‘Will create back office for foreign trade’
Ritesh Aggarwal further said, ‘Around 1 lakh customers book OYO hotels every day across India and almost the same number of customers stay in OYO hotels every day in foreign countries. We are opening a new hotel every 2-3 days. We get a lot of business from abroad. We are setting up a back office of foreign business in Rajasthan because we are getting good talent for technology, finance etc.
‘Winter tourism will be the best in 10 years’
The CEO of Oyo further said, ‘The winter season is going to be the best for the tourism business in the last 10 years. After Covid, people want to enjoy their life and the hotel industry has been witnessing 100 per cent year-on-year growth since then. Let us tell you that Oyo has made a profit of Rs 158 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year. Ritesh Aggarwal had shared this information in a townhall organized in New Delhi on 24 October.
Today is the last day of Rising Rajasthan Summit
Let us tell you that the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit started on 9 December in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. 11th December i.e. today is its last day. Before this conference, Rajasthan government has signed MoUs worth Rs 30 lakh crore. Apart from this, representatives of 34 countries are participating in the summit, out of which 17 countries are going to participate as ‘Partner Countries’.
