Jaipur : Two vehicles of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s convoy were hit by a taxi in Jaipur. ASI Surendra Singh (52) died while trying to stop the taxi in the accident that took place on Wednesday. His last rites were performed at his ancestral village Kathka Majra in Neemrana (Kotputli-Behror) on Thursday evening. Earlier, after paying tribute to Surendra Singh at Jaipur police line on Thursday morning, wife Savita Singh’s pain burst out. She said – My husband was martyred while saving the Chief Minister, did the CM come to us? He should have said that it happened because of me. What would he have done if he had not stood in the middle and saved them, had he been on the side? We need to know in return, whom should we trust. Our demands should be fulfilled. My husband has gone, now where should I go with the children.

ASI’s wife got angry when officer pulled her

While talking to the media, the female police officer tried to stop Surendra Singh’s wife. Savita Singh got angry and said to the officer – You wait. You have no idea what’s happening to me. Let me say, you are dragging me. The Chief Minister should be here. We have to talk to the Chief Minister. He should come here. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph has given verbal assurance to the family members that all their demands will be accepted.

Father was a captain in the army

During his nearly 25 years of police service, Surendra Singh was mostly posted in Jaipur. Constable Ramesh Chandra told that Surendra Singh had joined the traffic after being transferred only 6 months ago. Surendra Singh of the year 1992 batch was a resident of village Kathka Majra of Neemrana (Kotputli-Behror). His father Rohitash was a captain in the Indian Army. Surendra Singh was recruited as constable in Rajasthan Police. Became ASI after promotion in the year 2018. Surendra Singh lived with his wife, son and daughter in Karni Vihar area of ​​Jaipur.

His son is doing internship after MBBS. Daughter is preparing for UPSC. His father lives in the village itself. Surendra Singh was the only brother of three sisters. ASI Surendra Singh was a street dogs lover. Had been feeding dogs for the last 25 years. His wife also had equal support in his religious work. Last rites were performed with state honours, Tricolor procession took out.

ASI Surendra Singh was cremated with state honors at his native village Kathka Majra on Thursday evening at around 4 pm. After giving the guard of honor to the police personnel, son Akash lit the funeral pyre. Earlier, the mortal remains were brought from Jaipur to the ancestral village Kath Ka Majra at around 2 o’clock. The youth took out his tricolor procession from Hero Chowk in Neemrana to his home, a distance of about two and a half kilometers.

Surendra Singh used to go to meet his mother every month.

Neighbor Karmaveer Chaudhary told that ASI Surendra Singh used to come to the village often. Recently my mother passed away. Surendra Singh had come to the village with his wife on November 27 to express his condolences. Karmaveer Chaudhary told that Surendra Singh had also studied in another city, but he never gave up his attachment to the family and the village. Although Surendra Singh was older than him, whenever he came to the village, they always played together. Surendra Singh, of cheerful and calm nature, was very fond of vehicles.
