Jodhpur : Smuggling of arms and narcotics by Pakistan into India is becoming a serious problem. In the last few years, Pakistan has increased the smuggling of heroin as well as illegal weapons into India. Recently, another dangerous incident came to light near Shekhsarpal Post located in Karanpur sector of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, where Pakistani smugglers sent a packet of weapons to the Indian border through a drone. Two pistols, two magazines and seven live cartridges have been recovered from this packet.
If yellow and white plastic falls on the border…
SP Sriganganagar, Gaurav Yadav said that BSF recovered this packet and later handed it over to the police. The packet was yellow in color and had yellow and white plastic tape attached to it. When this packet was opened, weapons came out from inside. Initially BSF suspected that the packet might contain heroin, but the matter became more serious after weapons were found inside it.
Pakistan creates challenge for Indian agencies
This is not the first time that weapons have been sent from Pakistan through drones. Last year also, a pistol was recovered in the border area of Shrikaranpur police station area, which had come from Pakistan through drone. Such incidents pose a challenge to Indian security agencies, because these weapons can be used in gang warfare and terrorist activities.
Is Pakistan planning a major incident?
This arms smuggling becomes even more serious in view of the activity of gangsters in Sri Ganganagar and the border areas of Punjab. Through these weapons, criminals and terrorist organizations can plot any major crime. BSF and police are thoroughly investigating this matter and trying to ensure that this type of trafficking is controlled.
India-Pakistan border lies here in Rajasthan
It is noteworthy that the border of Pakistan and India is adjacent to the state of Rajasthan. Many areas of Rajasthan like Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Karanpur are on the border and heroine smuggling often takes place from these areas. Which reaches Punjab. But now arms smuggling is taking place, this is very worrying.
