Pali mother throws one day old newborn into bushes, dies

Pali : Pali A just one day old newborn was thrown into the bushes by his family members. A person saw the newborn lying in the bushes and informed the police. Police immediately reached the spot and took the newborn to the hospital. After investigation the doctor declared him dead. The incident took place near the water tank of the Industrial Police Station area in Pali at around 12 noon on Wednesday. Doctors say that the innocent child was lying in the open. He probably died due to cold. It was a newborn boy.

Sub Inspector Bhanwarlal Mali of the Industrial Police Station said – Mahadev reached the spot after receiving information about a newborn lying in the bushes behind the water tank of the water supply department near the garden. The newborn was taken to Bangar Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. The body of the newborn has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Investigation is being done as to who threw the newborn here.

There was no clothes on the body of the newborn

Dr. Bhavana and Dr. Ankur did the checkup at Bangar Hospital in Pali. Dr. Bhavna told – There were scratch marks at many places on the newborn’s body, which might have been caused by being stuck in the thorns. There were no clothes on his body. The newborn was born 18 to 24 hours ago. To save him, CPR was given and heart-boosting injections were also given, but no success was achieved. The newborn was lying in the open without clothes. He probably suffered hypothermia, which led to his death.

‘Don’t throw away the newborn, leave it in the cradle’

District Child Welfare Committee Chairman Rasheed Mohammad said – A crèche has been set up outside Bangar Hospital in Pali and the office of the Child Welfare Committee located at Pali-Sumerpur bypass. If someone does not want a newborn for some reason then they can leave it in that foster home. Why are they leaving the newborn here? No inquiry is made regarding this, but such a newborn should not be left in the open in the bushes to die. Had this child been alive, the lap of some childless mother would have been filled.
