Pali: Young man steals gold jewelery by deceiving an elderly woman, case registered

Pali News Desk: The accused, suspected of robbing an old woman of a gold ring, were seen leaving in the CCTV footage of Khuntani village of Jetpur police station in Pali district. The police is busy searching for them. In Pali on Thursday, three youths, on the pretext of polishing an elderly person’s gold jewelery with powder, ran away on a bike with a gold necklace of about three tola around his neck. CCTV footage has surfaced regarding the incident. In this, the suspicious youth is seen running away on the bike. Police is busy searching for him on the basis of footage.

Jetpur police station incharge Rajendra Singh said – 50 year old Bhanwaridevi wife of Javtaram Dewasi was sitting in Khuntani village of the police station area on Thursday afternoon. During this time, three young men came on a bike and said that they work in polishing utensils. The elderly woman gave them some old brass utensils kept in the house to be cleaned. The three accused, who came on a bike with Pitambar powder, polished the utensils with the powder. During this, one of the accused told the elderly woman that he had a powder which can make gold ornaments shine. The woman gave the gold bangle worn around her neck for polishing. After two minutes a young man asked the woman to give him water. When the woman went to get water, the three accused took the gold bangle and fled on the bike. On getting information about the incident, the police set up a blockade across the district. In CCTV, the three suspected youths were seen going on a bike. The police have shared the footage across the district and are searching for the accused.
