Jaipur : By-elections are to be held on seven assembly seats in Rajasthan this year. Regional parties including BJP and Congress are making great noise regarding this. In the BJP Core Committee meeting in Jaipur on Sunday, a panel of 3 names was prepared for 7 seats. After this, a meeting of BJP top leadership was organized in Delhi in the evening regarding ticket distribution for Rajasthan by-election. In which the candidates were discussed.
Discussion on candidates held in Delhi
Many leaders including CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, State President Madan Rathod, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa attended the meeting at BJP President JP Nadda’s residence in Delhi. During this, a report was submitted to JP Nadda on the strategy made in the core committee meeting held in Jaipur. Along with this, the names of candidates on all seven seats were also discussed, on which the final approval of the BJP leadership is yet to be given.
Congress has 4 seats
In fact, out of the 7 seats on which by-elections are to be held, Congress alone has 4 seats and BAP, RLP and BJP have 1 seat each. Salumber seat has become vacant after the death of BJP MLA Amritlal Meena. At the same time, by-election is to be held on Ramgarh seat due to the death of Congress MLA Zuber Khan. The remaining five seats have become vacant after the MLAs became MPs. The special thing is that Rajasthan by-elections are to be held at a time when BJP had to face defeat on 11 seats in Rajasthan in the Lok Sabha elections a few months ago.
Strategy to work on micro management
In such a situation, it is a big challenge for BJP to win the by-elections on these 7 seats. Keeping this in view, a strategy was made in the BJP Core Committee meeting to work on micro management in the by-elections. Apart from this, emphasis has been laid on collective decision in ticket distribution in the meeting.
