Patna, 8 December (IANS). The CRD Book Fair at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna was buzzing with book lovers on Sunday. Book lovers were seen searching for books of their choice at the stalls of various publishers and many also bought books extensively.
A good crowd of students was seen in Patna Book Fair on Sunday, a holiday. On one hand, people were buying books, on the other hand, readers enriched themselves by listening to stalwarts in programs like Katha, Kavita, Samvad and Pariksha. Various challenges including environment were discussed in the epic show of ‘Janata Junction’. Through this platform, Apoorva had a detailed discussion with Dr. Atul Pandey of Geology and Manish Kumar regarding GIS regarding environmental and other challenges.
Dr. Pandey discussed the impact of human activities on the health of rivers. He said that poor health changes the normal functioning of rivers. Manish Kumar told about GIS remote sensing that every particle of the earth has different heat. By analyzing the data sent by satellites installed in space to capture this heat, it is known what percentage is forest, water, desert or anything else on the earth.
On the third day of the book fair, a discussion was organized on the topic ‘Readers of Literature’, in which the meaning of obscenity in literature was explained. Indian Police Service officer Sushil Kumar, professor and journalist Jai Prakash Pandey, young poet and journalist Anjum Sharma participated in this discussion. The discussion was presided over by Dr. Asha, Professor of Magadh Mahila College.
A poetry reading program was organized on the main stage of the fair. In which young poets Ashish, Nikhil, Utkarsh, Anchit, Upanshu, Matri Sharan, Natasha entertained the audience with their poetry. Young poet Matri Sharan entertained the audience a lot by reciting her poem ‘Kakahara’. After this, young poet Natasha recited her poem ‘Patience, Disillusionment and Leaving’, which was highly appreciated by the audience. Young poet Nikhil recited his poem ‘Hang Over’.
A conversation was organized on the topic of youth politics in Patna Book Fair, in which Samastipur MP Shambhavi Chaudhary came face to face with the readers. MP Shambhavi Chaudhary said, “My first priority is to fight for public issues. The people of Samastipur have given me immense love, which I cannot forget throughout my life. The participation of youth in today’s politics is increasing rapidly. Politics The influx of youth is a good sign for democracy.”
