Dholpur : The condition of chambers in Dholpur city is bad. There is no such street or locality where chambers are not booming. The booming chamber on the middle of the road near the Hanuman temple located in Lal Bazar has become a cause of trouble for local shopkeepers, pedestrians and drivers. Dirty water keeps gushing out from the chambers throughout the day. The problem of chambers has emerged as a major problem in the city. Due to not being cleaned for the last several years, they are now overflowing. Many colonies of the city are submerged in the waters of these surging chambers. The overflowing chamber near Hanuman Square in Lal Bazar has also become a headache for the people. The water coming out of the chamber is flowing on the road itself. Due to which not only the local shopkeepers are troubled but the pedestrians as well as the drivers are seen being harassed by the booming chambers on the middle of the road. Because due to overflowing of water in the chamber, the chamber has also opened a bit and water is filling on the road itself. Due to which two-wheeler drivers are afraid of getting injured by slipping on wet concrete. At the same time, the condition of local shopkeepers is suffering due to the smell of dirty water of the chamber. But till now the attention of the city council officials has not gone towards this. The problem of the chamber is not limited to this one but is being seen all over the city.
Chebar overflow, dirty water on the roads
The situation remains very bad in Govid Vatika area located in Rajkheda. Many roads here are closed due to dirty water. Dirty water is coming out from the sewerage chambers. The reason for this is not proper cleaning of the chambers. Local people have appealed several times from the Municipal Commissioner to the District Collector but no hearing is taking place. People say that chambers are not being cleaned from inside. Due to accumulation of silt inside, water is only coming out. Only food is being supplied in the name of cleanliness.
