Sikar : Today in Sikar district of Rajasthan, Peethadheeshwar Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj of Jankinath Temple Revasa Dham passed away due to a heart attack. Swami Ji Maharaj had a sudden heart attack in the bathroom at 7 am today, after which he was immediately brought to Sikar hospital for treatment where the team of doctors confirmed the death of Swami Ji Maharaj. As soon as the news of Swami Ji Maharaj’s death was received, followers in various areas of the state including Sikar are saddened.
The heart is deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of the most revered Raiwasa Peethadheeswar Shri Shri 1008 Shri Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also paid tribute and prayed to God for the peace of the soul.
The last rites will be performed today at 4:15 p.m.
Since morning, the followers of Swami Ji have been organizing Ram Dhun after his demise. His last rites will be performed at 4 pm on Friday in the courtyard of Bawdi near the Revasa temple, in which a large number of saints, great men and people from the surrounding area will be present.
Important role in Ram Janmabhoomi movement
Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj was a great devotee of Lord Ram. He played an important role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Maharaj Ji had taken a group of kar sevaks from Jaipur during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The group was caught by the police on the way and locked up in Agra Central Jail. Many MLAs were also part of the group. In the jail, Maharaj and other saints used to give sermons during the day and bhajans were held in the evening. The people in the group were kept in jail for 9 days and then left in the forest on the Rajasthan border. Maharaj had taken a silver brick to participate in the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. 11 lakh names of Ram were written on the silver brick used in the Bhoomi Pujan.
